Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences ((フィンランド語:Haaga-Helia ammattikorkeakoulu), (スウェーデン語:Haaga-Helia yrkeshögskola); formerly Helsinki Business Polytechnic and Helia) is one of Finland's largest business polytechnics ("ammattikorkeakoulu" in Finnish). It is an open polytechnic, owned by a foundation run by Helsinki's business community. The school's primary facilities are in Pasila, Helsinki. It has other premises in Haaga, Malmi, and Vallila (all in Helsinki), and in Porvoo and Vierumäki. Haaga-Helia offers courses in business, information technology, sport and leisure education, hospitality, tourism, management assistant education, vocational teacher education programmes, journalism, marketing, and in languages. It has about 10,500 students and about 700 staff, of whom nearly 400 are full-time teachers. == Research and Business Development Centre ==
Helia's Research and Business Development Centre is producing training services to associations and companies. The training is tailored to meet the needs of the individual company by a variety of short-term courses and longer programmes for business operations development, sales training and IT training. The majority of the programmes are executed in cooperation with customers.
